Most businesses consider the right workforce their most valuable asset. To succeed, businesses need to find the right employees – competent, capable people who have the right skills and are willing to work hard. We can help streamline the hiring process, enhance employee retention, and reduce the cost of new hires.
The San Diego Metro Region Career Centers are funded by the San Diego Workforce Partnership and operated by KRA Corporation.
Our commitment is to help new or expanding businesses as well as those companies forced to downsize. And because the Career Centers are supported with federal funds, there is no charge for the following services:
- Customized recruitment activities
- Job postings
- Referral of qualified applicants
- Job fairs
- Rapid response assistance for businesses downsizing or facing layoffs
- Access to funds to assist with training new employees including customized and On-the-Job training
- Assessment tools
- Access to tax credits such as Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC)
- Information about labor laws
- Labor Market Information
Through these and other activities, we help businesses hire individuals who are better suited to meet the demands of the job, thereby producing more qualified and skilled applicants, while enhancing the performance of existing workers.
As an employer interested in hiring individuals with disabilities, we can offer valuable information on subjects such as hiring practices, interviewing, information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), tax incentives, and more.
